Bracemates, Dozer and Cruise, (father and son) at the GSCA Specialty, Greeley, Colorado. August 2015.

Let's not measure a breeder's success by the amount of winning their dogs do in the show ring, but by the number of dogs that stay with the family that purchased them as a pup and that die in the arms of that same family 14 years later. In that case, we have three winners: the breeder, the family, and most importantly, the dog." ~Unknown

What’s New At Raritan Gordon Setters?

The puppies from Nike x Enya litter left for their new homes in October of 2016.   We have been spending time with Raritan’s newest addition, “Fergi.”  She was purple girl from the litter.  She now has her own  “page”  under Raritan Dogs. Fergi has done us proud since embarking on her show career in both the AKC and UKC venues.

The new website cover dog, is GrChB – U-GRCH Grizz’s Angus Firestorm N Warchant, CGC (Dozer) swimming in the waters of Florida during a trip to the Eukanuba invitational in 2015.

We are happy to announce that “Fyre” is now a finished AKC champion.  He finished with a 3-point major from Bred-by Exhibitor at the Manitowoc Kennel Club Show on Sunday, April 2, 2017.

Here’s a photo of him taken by Dawn Hamilton, Raritan Gordon Setters.  Fyre is sired by Ch. Amethyst’s Black in Time, JH (Coal) out of Ch. Lyric ‘n’ Amethyst’s Rising o’ the Moon, CGC (Crescent).
